DeTalks may offer users and practitioners the option to connect their Google Calendar account to help manage counselling, therapy, consultation, or other appointment scheduling through the DeTalks platform.

When a user chooses to connect their Google Calendar account, DeTalks may access limited Google Calendar data required to provide this feature. This may include calendar availability, calendar event details, event titles, event dates and times, event descriptions, attendee information, calendar identifiers, and related scheduling information, depending on the permissions granted by the user.

DeTalks uses Google Calendar data only for the following purposes:

• To check availability for appointment scheduling
• To create calendar events related to appointments booked through DeTalks
• To update or cancel calendar events when appointments are rescheduled or cancelled
• To display relevant appointment information to the user or practitioner within the DeTalks platform
• To provide appointment reminders, scheduling support, and appointment management features

DeTalks does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing, profiling, retargeting, personalized advertising, or unrelated analytics.

DeTalks does not sell, rent, trade, or commercially exploit Google user data.

Google user data may be shared, transferred, or disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:

• With the user or practitioner connected to the appointment, where required to provide the scheduling or appointment management feature
• With service providers who help us operate the DeTalks platform, such as secure cloud hosting, database, infrastructure, email, calendar, or technical service providers. These providers are permitted to process data only for providing services to DeTalks and are required to protect the data
• Where required by law, regulation, legal process, court order, or government request
• Where necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of DeTalks, our users, practitioners, or the public

DeTalks does not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, information resellers, or third parties for serving ads, retargeting, personalized advertising, or unrelated commercial purposes

DeTalks retains Google Calendar data only for as long as necessary to provide appointment scheduling and appointment management services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.

Calendar event information related to appointments may be retained as part of appointment records for operational, compliance, support, audit, and service continuity purposes.

OAuth tokens or authorization credentials used to access Google Calendar are retained only while the user has an active Google Calendar integration with DeTalks.

Users may disconnect Google Calendar access at any time from their Google Account permissions page or, where available, from the DeTalks platform. Once access is revoked, DeTalks will no longer be able to access the user’s Google Calendar through Google APIs.

Users may also request deletion of Google Calendar data stored by DeTalks by contacting us at support@detalks.com. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, DeTalks will delete or anonymize the relevant Google user data, unless retention is required for legal, security, compliance, dispute resolution, audit, or legitimate business record-keeping purposes.

DeTalks’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This means that DeTalks will use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible and relevant within the DeTalks platform. Google user data will not be sold, transferred to advertising platforms, used for personalized advertising, or used for any unrelated purpose.
